Friends of Moulton Mill

The friends of Moulton Mill is the support organisation to Moulton Windmill Project Ltd.
Friends help to raise funds to operate and restore the Mill.
They act as guides and work in the tearooms or the mill shop.

FRIENDS OF MOULTON MILL

The friends of Moulton Mill were formed in May 1999. The main aim is to raise sufficient

funds to enable the Mill to be fully restored to working wind-powered order, and for its

ongoing upkeep.Through the restoration company, MoultonWindmill Project Ltd (M.W.P. Ltd), a fully registered charity, objectives already achieved include:-

reinstatement of the sails ,restoration of the brick tower ,a tea-room in the granary of the Mill

disabled access to the second floor .establishment of a local museum and

for the mill to be a true ‘Fen Icon’

Your donation/gift is valuable and will enable the restoration work to continue.MWP Ltd received grants from both the English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery to fund initial restoration work. WREN has also provided substantial financial assistance, but the Friends still need to raise funds themselves in order to continue the good work and complete the restoration.

Through the extraordinary and continuing hard work of the volunteers, the Mill is open to the public, from Thursday to Sunday every week, and on Bank Holidays from 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Please come and enjoy this wonderful building, climb to the top, and later have some refreshments in the ‘Granary Tea Rooms’. Its well worth a visit. [Please note that there is a charge for tours of the mill, but entry to the tea-rooms and souvenir shop is free.]

A great number of us are taxpayers and the Chancellor’s tax rules make it possible to substantially increase every gift given to Moulton Mill, whatever the amount. It is extremely easy to do as long as you are a UK taxpayer and there is no further cost to you by doing so; just complete the declaration on the Friends application form stating that you are a taxpayer and authorising Moulton Mill to reclaim your tax on the gift.
